I was born in London, England, and began working full-time as a decorative painter in 1981.  From 1989 to 2006 I lived in  California where I undertook a number of prestigious projects from San Francisco to Carmel.  After a ten-month sabbatical in Greece, studying and integrating the strong colours and designs of that ancient land, I'm returning to the USA to continue my career as a decorative artist. 

I have enormous experience in several media, from paints, glazes and washes through to dyes and metal leaf.  I mix many of my own materials and have developed a number of special techniques not in use elsewhere.

I work on walls, furniture and floors in a variety of media.  My specialities include luminous colourwashes as well as ultra-realistic marbling and woodgraining.  I also produce painted floorcloths for use as highly durable art floorcoverings.
